Cleopatra's Moisturizer

If it was good enough for Cleopatra, it's good enough for me.

The juice and gel of the aloe plant has been used for centuries as a moisturizer, and it has been said that aloe was an integral part of Cleopatra's beauty routine. Who am I to mess with history?

Aloe:
  • is the perfect moisturizer, with nearly the same pH as our skin.
  • acts as a natural barrier and shields our skin from toxins aka city pollution.
  • prevents aging of the skin.
  • lightens dark spots and light scarring.
  • heals blemishes and burns.
  • teaches your skin to properly hydrate itself.
  • is packed with anti-oxidants like Vitamins E & C
Apply morning and night (or more if you fancy). It also heals chapped lips almost instantly.

I've been using this as my day and night moisturizer for about 6 months now, and my skin seems clearer, brighter, more evenly toned, and perfectly nourished.

Skip any aloe gel in a package, and go straight to the source: the aloe leaf. You can find aloe leaves at Whole Foods, health food stores, and most Asian markets, for under $3, and it will last you a month, as long as you keep it refrigerated. Simply cut off a piece of the leaf and apply the liquid to your face. Don't ingest.

Anyone else use aloe as a moisturizer, and love it? Leave me a comment below.
