The Workout with Instant Results: Pure Barre

We're all accustomed to instant gratification at this point, so who wants to slave away at the gym for weeks before you notice any change? Not me. I'm one of those people who look in the mirror immediately after crunches, in case some definition should care to show up after my 10 minutes on the floor.

If you're anything like me, then you definitely want to check out Pure Barre. This ballet-based class is nothing like your elementary school tutu days: weights, bands, and a little red ball will bring your workout to a completely new level. While this ball looks quite harmless, wait until you're told to stick it between your legs and perform 55 minutes of strengthening and stretching.

I am quite athletic, and felt the after-workout burn in my legs for the 4 days post initial workout. Your legs will shake, your body will sweat, and you will probably silently curse the aforementioned ball 10 minutes into the class. 


However, when you walk up to the mirror for your post-class glance, you're soon likely to see your seat lifted and thighs tighter. They say you need about 10 classes to see any changes, and should go 3-4 times a week. My lower body silhouette, shall we call it, was visibly lifted and tighter, after just 2 classes. Now that, is what I call instant workout gratification.

While much of the class is focused on the hips, thighs, and booty, Pure Barre is a full body workout, that also incorporates arms and abs. If your lower body is your problem area, this is the workout you need.
