Bombshell Travel Tips: How to Stay Sexy, Up in the Air

Jetsetting is always sexy, but dry skin, bloating, and colds, clearly are not. Here are some tips to avoid the nasties usually associated with airplane travel and arrive at your destination looking like a bombshell:
  • WATER: Drink plenty of water before and during a flight to stay hydrated.  The pressurized cabin of aircraft is devoid of moisture, and can really suck your skin dry.  Aim to drink 8 oz of water for every hour in the sky
  • FRESH SQUEEZED OJ: Drink a glass of fresh OJ for its high water and Vitamin C content to help ward off colds and flus that are so easily spread in the small cabins.
  • WELL BALANCED MEAL: Have a well balanced meal before boarding. Choose a plant-based protein, like quinoa, to keep you satiated. Avoid salty and sugary foods, as well as meat.  Animal protein has a low moisture content, and tends to digest poorly with little mobility in the cabin. Meat will just sit and fester in your colon. Not cute.
  • FRESH FRUIT & VEGGIES: Besides the pressurized cabin, flying exposes you to industrial chemicals and radiation, so eat lots of fruits and veggies to ward off their damaging effects. Melons, grapefruit, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce all have extremely high water contents to keep you hydrated, plus added vitamins and antioxidants to combat chemicals and sun rays.
  • RAW NUTS: Carry your own raw nuts.  They provide protein and fill you up so as to avoid eating the microwaved mush the airlines call a meal. Pack raw almonds or walnuts and avoid the roasted salty kinds.
    • LAYOFF COFFEE, TEA, and BOOZE:  All of these are extremely dehydrating and have diuretic properties,  which means they force you to the loo more often than usual. While getting up and walking around on the plane is good for your circulation, emptying the water out of your body in an already dry atmosphere, is not.
These tips should have you walking off the plane looking refreshed and hydrated.  Bon Voyage!
