To celebrate and raise awareness about real food, my friend and I hosted a brunch for 10 people made completely from scratch! Recipes for the entire menu to follow this week. (Caramelized onion, mushroom, and kalamata olive fritatta, sweet potato hash browns, and savory almond flour bread, just to give you a taste...)

In the meantime, just in time for dinner, here is the recipe for our signature cocktail:

Sparkling Strawberry Mint Limeade

Ingredients
3 cups organic frozen strawberries (Or fresh!!)
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup liquid coconut nectar or slightly less honey
1 bottle sparkling wine, chilled
Extra mint and lime wedges as garnish

Instructions
1- Combine frozen strawberries, mint leaves, lime juice, water and coconut nectar in a Vitamix or high-speed blender and process until smooth.
2- Serve about a 1/2 cup of strawberry mixture with a 1/2 cup of champagne, stirring to combine.
3- Garnish with extra mint leaves and lime wedges and enjoy!
