Without This You'll Die
We can go a month without food, but only 2-3 days without water. If you’re reading this, you’re still alive, but are you getting enough?
The late Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidj, gained international attention with his claim that regularly drinking water can treat a vast array of illnesses. "You are not sick, you are thirsty," he asserted in his bestselling 1992 book, Your Body’s Many Cries for Water, which attributes most pain and sickness to chronic dehydration.
Dr. Batmanghelidj concluded that ordinary water prevents and cures depression, asthma, arthritis, back pain, migraines, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis and many other illnesses. He also opposed the use of costly drugs for treating illnesses, saying that you “don’t treat thirst with medication.”
Not only does water prevent and cure these diseases, it is crucial to our survival. The body is 75% water, so it makes sense that this essential fluid must be continually replenished. Make sure you're getting enough!
While everybody is different, and the amount of water your body needs daily will change based on a number of factors (exercise, weather, etc.) most doctors recommend eight 8-ounce glasses, or 1.9 liters total, a day.
Bombshell Tip: Keep a bottle or cup of water with you and sip it throughout the day. There was a time I wouldn’t leave the house without a 1.5 liter bottle of Fiji. The more eco-friendly approach is to use a refillable glass bottle, like the awesome ones from life factory. They are the best glass bottles I've found, and come wrapped in a beautiful colored sleeves (turquoise is my favorite). I use the 22 oz bottle, and refill at least 3 times a day with good filtered water!!
