The Breakfast of Champions: Quinoa + Chia

Since I recently swore off gluten, I'm loving quinoa for breakfast. This whole grain is the perfect protein, containing all 9 essential amino acids.

Mixed with chia seeds, this dish is a protein powerhouse that will keep you satiated all the way to a late lunch.

Ingredients
.
Water (1 cup)
Quinoa (1/2 cup)
Pumpkin Seeds (1 tbs.)
Chia Seeds (1 tbs.)

1. Bring water to boil, and then add quinoa.
2. Cover, turn heat to low, and simmer for approximately 10 minutes, until all water is absorbed and the grains are translucent.
3. Transfer to a bowl, add seeds, and stir.
4. Sprinkle with salt to taste. (optional)
5. Enjoy!
