3 Lessons from Jamie Oliver

Honeydew +Cucumber + Basil Smoothie
Jamie Oliver, the British chef behind Food Revolution Day has inspired millions to take a stand for real food. I was lucky enough to hear him speak last weekend. Here are 3 things that I took away:

1. Instead of asking why fresh food costs so much, ask yourself how junk food is so cheap...This is a good thing to remind people when they complain fresh and organic is too expensive. In the long run, you save on medical bills.

2. The search for perfection is fruitless...If you have junk food once in a while its OK, it's not the end of the world.

3. We have to teach the importance of real food good nutrition to children...Bring your kids to a farmers market once a week...it will change their lives.

Speaking of little ones, it's never to early to start! Check out my friend's adorable son enjoying a Honeydew+ Cucumber+ Basil Smoothie.
